2010
2010 has finally arrived, after a small break from everything to enjoy time with our friends and family over the holiday season HDRA is back in full swing bringing you the most exciting racing organization in the Midwest.
IN the next couple weeks we will be releasing the finalized race dates for the 2010 season, as well as information for the Race Expo and other great things to expect in 2010.
We look forward to seeing each and every one of you in the lanes and on the forums this year as we solidify our spot as a force to be reckoned with in the drag racing community.
Thank you to all of you who support this series and make it what it it. We do this for you.
Over the next few weeks I will be working on updating and redoing the main website.
Until that has been completed please visit the HDRA forums for up to date information on what is going on for 2010.
Thank you
First of all we would like to say thank you to all of the sponsors for "Race Away Hunger". Smith Oil, 104.9 WXRX, William Charles Electric, Chemtech, Rock Auto, and The Contingency Connection. Without
all of you this event could have never taken place. Thank you for taking
part in helping us do something for the community in which we live.
We
also would like to thank Midwest Super Stock Mafia for coming out and putting on
a great show. You guys were great and we look forward to working with you in the
future. Thank you for volunteering to come out for the cause.
And
a huge thank you is owed to you the racers, without you we could have never
raised the money we raised for the Northern IL Food Bank. Despite the rain after
the 1st round we were still able to raise $660 for the Food bank which will help
them provide over 3960 meals for people in the northern IL area. So thank you,
you all owe yourselves a pat on the back for the great thing you did by
attending this event. We had 46 racers total. You guys are great, thank you for
your support.
On
to the results of our Finals. since the event was called due to rain, points
were awarded based on rounds completed.
In
Street Muscle we had a tie for points between Durk Roper and Jason Schadewalt.
since we could not have a race off due to the rain, the racer with the most
event wins overall was awarded the championship. Congrats to Durk Roper your
HDRA 2009 Street Muscle Champion.
In
Modified Muscle Martin Rosendahl had a huge lead in points going into this event
and retained his position. Congrats to Martin Rosendahl your HDRA 2009 Modified
Muscle Champion
For
Pro Muscle it was a heated battle all year with position changes after every
event, but when it cam down to it John Hornyak finished off in the lead.
Congrats to John Horyak you HDRA 2009 Pro Muscle Champion
On
October 4th HDRA will be meeting to discuss plans for next year. Racers are
invited to attend, information is on the message board. If you cannot attend
please share your ideas on the message board so we can consider it in our
decisions.
